I CANNOT LIVE WITHOUT MY SISTER

My sisters I just can’t live without
Sometimes they bug me
Sometimes they hug me
Before as children we use to play

Today we have our own ways
I will always have a big sister
I will always have a little sister
Although sometimes I wish I was an only child

I don’t know what I would do without my sisters
Having sisters means I will always have a friend
As I look back on memories of my life
I remember my sisters and all the times we had together

As I look up to my older sister
My younger sister looks up to me
Through good times and bad
We will always stick together

I love my sisters dearly and
I could not see my life without them

Sonnet: God, Bless My Dear Sister

God gave her beauteous body and long hair!
Intelligent, she prayed really hard;
She spoke fluently and looked very fair;
As doctor, she was superb in the ward.

But suddenly, her dad had fallen ill;
She looked after him like a nurse by day;
Insulined making urine sugar Nil!
She worked as doctor by night far away!

God blessd her with good husband, three children;
Her Practice too is good but life is tough;
She tends to mother more than eighty when
She develops chest-cold and nasty cough.

God bless my doctor sister for her feat!
Help her in times of woes: devils defeat.

The Dust of Relationship

When our mother's sister came to town
we were so happy that our mother's sister
would be close by at hand.
Having grown in this distant place
away from where most relatives lived,
insequirities of cloistered life saw hope
in our aunt's coming to town.
We never imagined that our mother and aunt
being siblings could have deep rooted rivalries
of affection and qualities.
Preoccupation with families and distance
had probably put the dust below the carpet.
When the carpet is being cleaned
the families are getting choked
with the dust of their relationship.

To My Big Sister

I really want to thank you
For being by my side
And always staying calm for me
When its not a perfect ride

You've survived the impossible
And you've done the unknown
You'll always have a part of me
When i am fully grown

Before the time i can remember
You've always taken care of me
But i was little then
I didn't really see

I thought life was great
When we had our mom and dad
But little did i know
We were in a world full of bad

All the abuse and hunger
That we had to live through
Only made us stronger
I couldn't do it without you

So thank you sister
so so very much
I know i might not tell you
But i love you a bunch

To An Angry Sister.

Sister, my sister
Why is it that you speak so loud?
Is it your way to be noticed?
Or your way to make yourself count?
Tell me sister, who will listen?
Who will see?
The words coming out of your mouth
are only those of hatred and bitterness
turning the beautiful sight of you into an ugly one
Why my sister
Is it that you don’t care?
Is it your arrogance
That you appearently seem to think is fine?
Is it your ignorance
Which is obvious when you say those stupid things
Or is it just you being self-centered
Thinking that’s what the worlds looking for?
No, my lovely sister
Is that really all there’s to know about you?
Is that all you have to give?
I know better
You know better and guess what
The world knows better
So lift yourself up sister
And finally be proud of the queen you truely are!
